Today’s encouragement quote is a YouTube video that I found while web surfing to see what is out there that is fun and cheery. Does the word paper airplane make you smile? Can you make them?
I remember never being all that great at making paper airplanes, but then there was always someone who could make one that soared really high and was a joy to watch. For some reason I have always admired the art of making great paper airplanes.
I found a video that shows how to make the Boomerang Paper Airplane. It is so cool! I got lost at about minute 7 of the 9 minute video but I can re-watch it. The beauty of this plane is that it will come back to you. Now how fun is that?
When you look at the video it is fun to see the joy in the man’s face who is making the airplane and how his enthusiasm makes you want to fly one of them, too. The cool part is that at the end of the video he explains why the airplane returns to him.
I am thinking that this is a great way to teach some angles and some of the math involved. A lesson in making a cool paper airplane would capture the attention of every student. Get out your rulers and your protractors and have some fun with your students.
Is a paper airplane a good free gift? I think it is a great gift! Plus this airplane is one that has some good conversational value to it. Ok, here is the video.
What a great way to cheer up someone’s day and add a big big smile to their face.
It seems that most of us are never to old to be a kid. If you have squashed your inner child you really should find a way to bring them back.
Once again sharing a word of encouragement or an act of kindness can be by doing something unexpected like making a balloon animal or a paper airplane.
Thank you Mr. Paper Airplane Guy for sharing this with all of us!

Alex, if only we had more time to make paper airplanes. I still have not made mine, but I have found time to go kayaking.

Where do you find these things. That is just great, I’ll have to come back and try this when I have some time. I love paper planes – thanks for sharing the cool video
How fun! That is fascinating and such a great escape from the stresses of life. I’m forwarding this to my husband so he can make me one. He is a retired jet engine analyst, so he’ll definitely get a smile on his face!
Thanks Rocque!

Luca and Jacque, thanks for the comments.
Jacque, you must take some pictures of your husband’s airplanes and show us how they fly (the paper ones of course). I bet he will have fun doing that.
Luca, you never know where your searches on the internet will take you.
It is great that when you get all grown up and older you can see appreciate the things that fascinated you as a child. (another “rocqueizm” original quote)
