Need Inspiration? Look Online!

The Internet can be absolutely fun and a great place to find all types of photos for inspiration, encouragement, and humor. I was in a sort of angry mood yesterday for a moment until I found a friend who usually seems positive and he was on one of the messenger services. Sometimes those do come in handy.
I saw his caption by his name and it read, “Who needs a balloon animal?” Well just that caption made me smile so of course I had to reply and say I need one. He gave me the link to this photo. I will just share the photo with you. I hope you like it.

This is a flickr foto and called Frog Catching Fly. That is one of the best pictures of a balloon animal I have ever seen.
What sort of memories do balloon animals bring to you? Can you make them or are you a wanna be balloon maker? I tried to make them before, but mine never quite looked the same as those in these photos. Balloon art has improved over the years. This is something that always makes me smile when I see a balloon artist making a fun animal or other creation. How about you?
So now I am hunting to see if there are any books or other resources for those of you who want to make your own Balloon Art. I will report what I find.
Here is a great website for Balloon Art. The pictures alone are worth a visit to the site.
Click Here For Balloon Art! It was not my intention when I started this post to go off on a balloon art or balloon animal tangent, but you just never know where one of my posts is going to end up. I am thinking of buying this book just to have some fun with my students next school year. It looks like the adults in the photos are having a great time.
I also found several books on Amazon for making Balloon Art and Balloon Animals. It is not a dying art. Balloon Art is here to stay. Seriously when you say the words Balloon Animals do you not smile?
For a very low price you can learn a craft that can brighten the days of so many people. Imagine learning how to do this and visiting children in the hospital, or a senior citizen home. It sounds great to me.
The Big Book Of Balloons: Create Almost Anything for Every Party and Holiday
Visit Amazon and then search for Balloon Art or Balloon Animal books. Take some pictures of what you make and I will post them on this blog.
Today’s encouragement quote: Make a balloon teddy bear, hug it, then give it to someone who needs encouragement.

I remember as a kid how much I enjoyed seeing balloon art at birthday parties. And I guess I am still a kid at heart, because some of it still amazes me. Like the frog

I found insipration online – right here on your blog. I took a look at the Rocque page and read your Mothers story, what a wonderful outlook “Rather than putting her focus on her loss, she chose to focus on what is right” That’s how we should all look at life.
Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your story

What a great skill to have, I’ve got to say that the most I can do with balloons is blow them up. I do remember balloons being a big part of my kids birthday parties. They always brought smiles to all the kids and even the adults.

I put links to books on how to make balloon animals on this page. Now days they are suggesting that you use something other than your mouth to inflate them, due to the airborne germ factors when the air is released from the balloons. I guess if they should pop, it even makes those germs fly all around. Now that is scary.
It is amazing we lived so long without knowing all the things we did as kids that people say are dangerous now.
Balloon Art is really a big business now, and the balloon category goes into those big balloons used for commercial advertising. Some of my favorites are Uncle Sam, and the Gorillas. Who can resist a bigger than life King Kong looking gorilla over a car dealership or other place of business?
