My next series of posts are going to be about getting prepared for your Golden Years. I am not a doctor, or a lawyer, or working for an insurance company, but I might have some advertising on my blog to pay for the costs of maintaining it. I have not decided yet.
On December 15, 2009, my mother experienced her first ever heart attack. That was the last thing we ever expected to happen to my mother since she is the beacon of good health, or so we thought. I guess it is a good thing that we do not go through life thinking the worst possible things could happen to us. However my mother had worsening indigestion problems for about the last 6 months and was being tested for everything other than her heart with an EKG or other tests.
My parents are in an HMO and have medicare. They pay $15 for each prescription and on a limited income that is a killer. Hopefully this blog will give you words of encouragement for where to look and what to do to help your loved ones get bankrupt by today’s medical system.
I will be adding more posts soon.
