I was intending to write daily encouragement quotes but fell on my face after only 2 days. OOPS.
Well maybe I will have to change my intentions to once in a while daily encouragement quotes. Where did the time go. It flew by yesterday. I was still pretty tired from all I am attempting to get done while I am on a break from the day job.
I did get my video on YouTube. This is a video I took while in my kayak at Silverwood Lake in California. I enjoy kayaking there because I usually find something of interest to watch, whether it be people, fishes or other animals.
This is one of my Turkey Vulture encounters.

Why do I find this encouraging? Even in death, life goes on. We have to keep going when we face obstacles in our path. Most people think Turkey Vultures are ugly, yet they serve an incredible purpose. Who else would eat this fish? This is a remarkable, incredible bird. They have to wait for the air to get warm enough to catch the thermals to fly. Their wing span is huge. They clean up animals that would decay and might spread disease. They are recycling machines.

God puts each one of us here for a purpose. None of us knows when our last day will be, so it is best to live each day to its fullest, and treat people like this moment now could be how they will remember you. We can all leave a legacy in our own way.

We can all do our part to make the world a better place. Choose to brighten someone’s day today.

Encouragement Quote for today: Expect the unexpected. Or as I found a more complete version of this quote you can pick what you like best.

‘To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect.’ –Oscar Wilde

I started watching your video before I read the post fully and was wondering how this could be related to encouragement quotes. I do get it now, nature doing it’s part in life and death.

I go on a fishing trip with freinds every year and we never catch anything like that – maybe this year we can expect the unexpected.
    Thanks for the quote

I agree with you about vultures, and they were respected in ancient cultures, too. Some people believed that vultures transported the souls of the dead to the spirit world.

For a few months last year I worked in an office complex that was a sanctuary for gray vultures. They were beautiful when flying.

Often they would sit on the wide outside window sills and you could look at them face to face. They were beautiful up close, too.

In the spring the fledgelings were huge! They were as big as the full-grown domestic ducks that lived in the lakes on the campus.

    Hello Kathleen,
It sounds as though you worked at a great place.
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog, and
the video. I am looking forward to some free time
next week when I can get back out to the lake.
It is worth getting up extra early when I am able to
take pictures and short videos like this.

It is definitely one way I stay inspired.

Living each day to the fullest is something we often forget. It’s often in retrospect that we wish we had done more or appreciated something better. Your post was a good reminder for me to focus on this concept. Thanks!

It is too easy to get caught up in the hectic life that we all lead.
