Do you think that you can encourage others with random acts of kindness? What sort of reaction do you feel when someone shows you a random act of kindness? Can random acts of kindness, be simple words of encouragement? Would you go out of your way to help a stranger? After you’re done with this article you should be motivated to join the people who encourage others without really even thinking about it. It just comes naturally after you practice it enough times.
If everyone started out their day with the thought that they were going to do what they could to encourage people by their actions, the world would be full of happier people. I challenge you to encourage someone today!
What sort of reaction do you feel when someone shows you a random act of kindness? I am not talking about anything major here, but it can be as simple as looking behind you when you walk through an open door to make sure that there is no one behind you before you let it slam shut. Male or female this should apply to you, because the simple act of noticing someone behind you and taking a moment to hold the door can encourage another person.
Then hopefully if you are the one having the door held for you, you can acknowledge it with a kind “thank you”. Many people feel that they go through life unnoticed, so take a moment to remember that there are other people around you, and that what you do can change the way they feel about his or her self.
Think about how you feel when someone congratulates you on a job well done, or lets you know they have confidence in you, or that they appreciate you, and pass those thoughts on to someone else.
Instead of giving a dozen flowers to one person, why not give one flower to 12 people. Make 12 smiles instead of just one.
When you are treated kindly it should encourage you to perform random acts of kindness too. Remember you are not alone. You have the chance to make a difference in someone’s day every single day.
Can random acts of kindness, be simple words of encouragement? Yes they can.
It can be as simple as a “please” or a “thank you”. How about letting someone know
what they mean to you? Is there a co-worker who brightens you day because they
always are cheerful and positive? Let them know how they encourage you.
Can you list 5 times in the last month when something or someone made your day? Can you list 5 times over the last month when you did something that was a spur of the moment random act of kindness? Use these answers as guidelines for how you can start your
random acts of kindness.
Would you go out of your way to help a stranger?
With the state of the world, it is more difficult to trust strangers or to want to help them. However do not avoid helping strangers when you can safely do so.
So now get out there and start encouraging others! If everyone started out their day with the thought that they were going to do what they could to encourage people by their actions, the world would be full of happier people. Once again, I challenge you to encourage someone today!
Encouragement Quotes for today:
“Have you had a kindness shown? Pass it on;
‘Twas not given for thee alone, Pass it on;
Let it travel down the years,
Let it wipe another’s tears.
Pass it on.”
– Rev. Henry Burton
“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
– Mohandas Gandhi.

Very nice. I will try to go out of my way to give some folks some kind acts of kindness!
Hi there Creel,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I have a feeling that you do not have to go out of your way to give kindness. I think you ooze kindness. It is just a sneaky suspicion I have about you.
